Dealing with the loss of the one she called a friend.
While Willow tries to balance her life as well as the lives of others, it proves to be more than her young heart can take. Braving each day she sets out to find a glimmer of peace, trying to fall back into some sort of familiarity as she searches for the one who has captured her heart.
Parker, once a ladies man, puts all that he is used to behind him in search of her heart. Her body drives him. His eyes capture her. But like most good things, they come to an end, as Willow and Parker's past comes crashing into their futures. Can they fight their past demons and move forward? Or will their pasts forever hinder their happiness?

Having read Nicky Jayne's work before I know to expect the unexpected and to keep the kleenex nearby :)
I like the way GROUNDED starts off with Parker's POV and how it picks up where TAKING FLIGHT ended.
I must admit Willow has a rather frightening grandmother , she's definitely not the knitting, cookies and candy type , she's more your guns and knuckle busters kind of gal ! She has no qualms in getting what she wants !
My heart aches for everyone feeling the loss of Riley but Willow is doing a brilliant "surrogate" job♥ With Willow being such a huge part of Tanner and the childrens lives we see Tanner being very protective of Willow and at one point I questioned his intentions but my concerns were unfounded * heaving a sigh of relief*
I was a bit annoyed with Parker at a stage because his way of pining is serial bed hopping :/ but I quickly get over myself and forgive Parker when he "saves" Willow in the parking lot .
Duncan , what a sleaze ! He's hell bent on revenge and filled with greed and anger add that to his already violent persona and we have a really nasty cocktail ! He scares the beejeebies out of me! He's determined to get to Willow and the thought alone makes my blood run cold :{
Then there's Rebecca , the venomous black widow who's not quite right in the head , a case of "wheel's turning but the hamster's dead" ! Already having "blood" on her hands I don't think she'd hesitate to kill again .....
Willow starts getting strange calls and threatening texts which she doesn't tell Parker about and I'm like "Hell girl what's with that dumbass move?" Duncan has been waiting for the perfect opportunity to get to Willow and it comes along when she goes to Tanner's , then the unspeakable happens and I need to remind myself to breathe! OMW ! My shattered nerves! Poor Willow :(
Eventually Parker realises that something's amiss and sets off to get Willow ♥ and it's right here where Nicky Jayne surprises me ,there's a twist and it comes from an unexpected source and someone who I thought had no heart !
"Doomsday" finally arrives for Willow and my stomach is in knots and I'm feeling rather nauseous :| in the meantime Tanner and Parker call in the calvary for the rescue mission and I'm gearing up for action!
Tanner has had suspicions about Riley's death and he shares his findings with Parker and I'm reaching for my trusted friend Kleenex !
I did mention Willow had a rather unconventional grandmother , well let's be honest she's a physcotic €#$^& !!!!! She'd rip wings off butterflies for fun :/
Parker saves Tanner from making a really bad decision but at the same time I feel his actions are more than justified .Karma will pay Duncan a visit soon enough!
My heart was in a million pieces as I finished GROUNDED ! Applauding you, with used kleenex filled hands ,Nicky Jayne on another ★★★★★ read! THANK YOU from my little beta heart
