I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
A story about two young people who fall in love at a young age. However their love is not an easy one and they are torn apart and both individually suffer so much heart ache. It will be up to fate to someday bring these two lovers together once again.
One of the most beautiful but heart-breaking stories I've ever read.
I didn't quite know what to expect when I started to read this story but it was so much more than I could have imagined. It was a beautiful love story filled with so many heart-breaking moments, and I desperately need the second book because I need to read the HEA I am so hoping for.
The two main characters in this book are Will and Sarah. I loved these two from the very first page, and their love for each other at such a young age was so strong and innocent.
Will was such a gentlemen and the way he spoke to Sarah, the way he was toward her, is what every girl hopes her boyfriend will be towards them. He's brave, protective, loving, so kind and is one of my favourite male characters ever.
Sarah was such a sweet girl who struggled so hard when she moved, and I could feel my heart breaking for her when she had to say goodbye, it was the first scene that had me crying and praying that these two lovers would remain strong and find each other again one day.
I detested Margaret and literally can't stand her. She is manipulative, mean, cruel, spoiled... .I could go on and on about her negative personality, but I'll let you read the story and see for yourself just how much of a horrible women she is.
Where with most of the characters I either loved or hated, I can't decide about Adley- he seemed so sweet through most of the book, if a little demanding, but I truly believe that's because he loves her but one of the last scenes with him and Sarah had me hesitating a bit, but then I think I should try and understand his attitude considering the circumstances.
In terms of the actual story I don't really want to say too much as I don't want to give anything away. But I will say that it was beautiful but devastatingly sad all at the same time. It defiantly kept me turning page after page, and it also had me full out crying, especially the last few chapters.
I don't think I'll be able to properly get into another book until I have read the second one of this series because that ending has left me in tears and praying that everything is going to work out okay.
These two young people and their families have been through so much heart ache throughout this story, I don't quite know how they all will, but they all deserve to have some much needed happiness in their lives.
I definitely recommend this book with a warning to readers that it does have a cliffhanger ending and that you will need a box of tissues next to you for the tears you will surely shed. I will be buying the second book as soon as it is released, and I really hope there isn't too long to wait. I need to finish Sarah's' and Will's love story and know that the other characters I also love have their own version of a happily ever after.
Well done to the author to creating a old-fashioned but beautiful romance in a period of time when life was hard for so many people. I hope you are planning a HEA for Will and Sarah and I will defiantly keep a look out for more of your work.
