I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Tori is a college student looking for a job so she can afford the next year of college. Sebastian is the sexy man all the baristas at the local coffee shop talk about. Tori and Sebastian meet at this coffee shop and the chemistry is intense. They can’t stay away from each other even though it would be the safe thing to do. When they meet up again at a nightclub owned by Keisha’s stepbrother, Brett, Tori is introduced to the insanity that is Jose. Brett tries to warn Tori away from Sebastian, telling her she can’t be friends with Keisha if she’s dating Sebastian. Sebastian warns Tori to stay away from Jose. Jose decides Tori is his. What follows is an intense story of love, mystery, and obsession.
This book was a scorcher. It was hot, hot, hot. From the very beginning Sebastian had me panting. He was definitely an alpha bad boy. He loved to dominate Tori, and he wanted to keep her safe. Tori was a firecracker, speaking her mind and not taking anyone’s bulls**t. She tried to keep Sebastian from pushing her around. One of my favorite scenes was when she made Sebastian catch her before they had sex, she literally tried to run out of her apartment naked while he chased her. Keisha was the bff everyone wants. She threw Tori and Sebastian together because she knew Tori was head over heels for Sebastian. Brett kept me on my toes. I wasn’t sure if he was a bad guy or a good guy. I’m still not sure which side he’s on. Jose is a sadistic bastard. He was obsessed with Tori and believed Sebastian stole her away from him. He was convinced Tori wanted him. Jose did everything in his power to get Tori. I loved all the characters and enjoyed their interactions. The plot kept me guessing, I didn’t know what was going to happen next. And the ending, that ending had me crying ugly tears. I love me a HEA, and I’m not really sure if this was one. The ending left me guessing. I would have liked to have some of Sebastian’s POV. There were times I wondered what he was thinking. I’ll definitely be diving into Always Me as soon as possible.
